Directors  

Hugh G. Ross, Director, President and Chief Executive Officer

A director of Gentry since December 1988, Mr. Ross earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1980 from the University of Calgary and joined Gentry's predecessor company shortly after graduation. His extensive knowledge of the industry has been acquired over 20 years of practical involvement - a period in which he held various positions with the organization, graduating from Corporate Secretary, Junior Landman and Land Manager to Vice President and finally to President and Chief Executive Officer in 1990.

Michael Halvorson, Director

Mr. Halvorson has been involved in various aspects of the securities industry since 1967. Since 1980, he has been the president of Halcorp Capital Ltd., a private investment corporation. Mr. Halvorson also serves as a director for a number of natural resource companies. He has considerable industry contacts and investment expertise.

A. Bruce Macdonald, Director

Mr. Macdonald earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. His 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry was gained in Canada, the United States and Australia. Before joining the company, he was Executive Vice-President with Andex Oil Co. Ltd. and its successor company. Mr. Macdonald's extensive experience and practical knowledge of the oil and gas sector make him a valued member of the Gentry Board of Directors.

Walter O'Donoghue, Director

Mr. O'Donoghue is an independent businessman with considerable knowledge of the oil and gas industry and extensive experience in corporate and commercial law. Formerly, he was a partner of the Bennett Jones LLP law firm. Mr. O'Donoghue has served as a Director of TELUS Corporation, Gulf Canada Resources Ltd. and Canadian Oil Sands Limited.

Dean G. Prodan, Director

The President of UTA Asset Management Corp., Mr. Prodan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1986 with a B.A. (Economics) and has over 15 years of experience in the Canadian oil and gas capital markets. Throughout his career Mr. Prodan has served as an institutional broker with RBC Dominion Securities, Peters & Co. Limited and FirstEnergy Capital Corp. Mr. Prodan acts as a director for several public oil and gas companies.

Robert R. Rooney, Director

Mr. Rooney is an independent buisnessman and a Director of several public and private corporations. He was previously a partner with Bennett Jones LLP where he was a member of the Executive Committee and led the firm's Energy and Natural Resources group. Mr. Rooney has an LLB from the University of Western Ontario and is a member fo the Law Society of Alberta.
